Delaine Le Bas co-curates and participates in the second Roma Biennale ‘WE ARE HERE!'. The project reflects a new perspective of a biennale, presenting an enthusiastic challenge to produce more participatory chain of events, at physical venues as well as online. In six-month period, the five campaigns are programmed in honour of days include the Resistance Day on 16 May to remember the Roma uprising at the Auschewits-Birkenau Camp during the WWII, and the World Refugee Day on.
Its opening day, 8th April, is the Roma Day, or the 50th anniversary of the the first major international Romani representatives, and the Biennale is celebrated with the 24 hour streaming of a musical Roma Armee, presented by the Max Gorki Theatre in Berlin.
